Homesmart’s founder started his career with an exterior plastering
apprenticeship in The Bay of Plenty in 1998. Over the following 10 years he worked for remedial waterproofing companies in the UK and on his return to New Zealand, for a re-cladding company in the Bay of Plenty. It was while re-cladding that he saw first hand that Leaky Building
Syndrome was not insurmountable and that in many cases these major remedial repairs could have been easily avoided.
