Homesmart’s founder started his career with an exterior plastering
apprenticeship in The Bay of Plenty in 1998. Over the following 10 years he worked for remedial waterproofing companies in the UK and on his return to New Zealand, for a re-cladding company in the Bay of Plenty. It was while re-cladding that he saw first hand that Leaky Building
Syndrome was not insurmountable and that in many cases these major remedial repairs could have been easily avoided.

We know that in a market like New Zealand, full of unease around
plaster homes, we can make a difference by offering simple solutions and peace-of-mind to homeowners in a no-fuss, dependable way.

At Homesmart we think differently. Instead of using products to get the job done quickly, we use products that get the job done right. Our team may be small, but we’re highly trained and agile. While most in the industry use subcontractors with no ties to the company, this doesn’t work for us. Our team is entirely full time employees and they are trained for quality, tidiness and then speed – not the other way around.
